Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine restores your natural flow

In the wisdom of Chinese tradition, it is said that "stagnant water does not flow and is not replenished". This saying reflects the essential nature of Qi, the vital energy that flows through all of us.
Good health relies on the free and unobstructed flow of Qi. When there is a healthy flow, there is no stagnation.

However, life's challenges—be it an unhealthy lifestyle, physical or emotional trauma, or imbalances—can interrupt this flow, leading to pain and physical, psychological, or emotional disharmony.

Using the time-honored methods of Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutrition, and other specialized tools and techniques and over 3 decades of experience, my passion and privilege is to guide you & your family on a path to healing and wellness.

A little about me

I’m Katharine Stewart, Chinese Medicine practitioner with over 33 years of experience.

I have treated thousands and thousands of people from pregnant mamas, babies, toddlers, teens & tweens and adults of all ages.

You may wonder what Chinese Medicine encompasses.

Most people are familiar with Acupuncture and other bodywork like cupping, Gua Sha & acupressure.

Chinese Medical practitioners are also often trained as herbalists.

We learn how to prescribe the right formulas for each person's constitution and current symptom pattern.

One size does not fit all in herbal medicine.

We also can help with nutritional and lifestyle protocols that help create balance and health specific to each person.

Chinese medicine is truly a holistic form of medicine that addresses the mind, body and spirit.

I can help you with any of the areas in your life that may be challenged beyond an acupuncture treatment or herbal remedy.

It’s what we do on a daily basis that makes the biggest difference- whether in our food choices, our movement, or lack thereof, our mindset, our sleep quality & quantity. To that end, I am also passionate about sharing all I know to help you create sustainable lifestyle choices that work for you.

I believe that our health is our responsibility to nurture and take care of.

Healing is truly an inside job.  Acupuncture and herbs are only a part of it.

As far as my training, I graduated from the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine in 1990.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Arizona State University, 2002, and a Master's of Science in Climate Science and Solutions from Northern Arizona University, 2015.

I was a founding member of Arizona's first accredited Acupuncture College, the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture.

I was Clinic Dean, Clinic Supervisor, Acupuncture Chair and an instructor for over 10 years.
